Ukraine and Central American countries have been forging trade relations since the 1990s. Trade between Ukraine and Central America has primarily been in the form of imports, with Ukraine providing agricultural and industrial products, energy, and technology to the region. In recent years, Ukrainian companies have also increased their investments in Central American countries, particularly in the energy and tourism sectors. The two sides have also signed bilateral agreements to facilitate trade and investment, including the Ukraine–Costa Rica Free Trade Agreement and the Ukraine–Panama Association Agreement. The two sides are actively looking to expand their economic partnership and are committed to boosting their trade ties in the coming years.
